Spring 2025 Normative Studies

The current normative surveys include the school version of both the youth and parent questionnaires.  The youth questionnaire includes 18 content scales, with 3 - 10 items in each of the following areas:

Anger                                              Anxiety Disorders                                 Autistic Sensitivity

Disobedience                                 Emotional Distress                               Family Support

Gaming Addiction                          Negative Peer Influences                    Peer Rejection

Posttraumatic Stress                      School Attention-Deficit                      School Misbehavior

School Underperformance            Self-Esteem                                           Social Media Addiction

Social Support                                Somatization                                         Substance Abuse

Suicidal Ideation                            Thought Disorder                                  Weight Issues

There are equivalent scales in the parent questionnaire, with some additional items that are too sensitive to include in the youth questionnaire. Those items ask about any history of trauma, such as sexual and physical abuse, stressful family circumstances, sexual acting out by the youth, antisocial behavior for the youth, and issues surrounding gender for the youth.

The youth questionnaire consists of 132 items plus three demographic questions, and the parent questionnaire consists of 105 items plus 11 demographic questions. Most people complete the questionnaires in 10 - 20 minutes.
