Our Mission

To use the latest advances in psychometrics and mental health to develop psychological tests that facilitate the progress of the mental health field.

OUR STORY

Northwest Psychometric was founded in 2024 by Dr. Robert Basham, a clinical psychologist with decades of experience in forensic and adolescent assessment.

Early in his career, Dr. Basham recognized a persistent gap between outdated psychological tools and the realities clinicians face today. Drawing on his background in both academic research and direct clinical work, he created Northwest Psychometric to bridge that gap—with assessments that reflect the complexities of modern adolescent life, and tools that enable better, faster decision-making.

Our flagship instrument, MIASA (Multi-Informant Assessment System for Adolescents), is the result of this vision—offering a comprehensive, research-backed view of adolescent functioning that brings together youth, parent, and teacher perspectives.

WHAT WE DO

We bring cutting-edge psychological measurement to everyday practice, empowering mental health professionals, educators, and families with reliable insights into adolescent mental health.

WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

We believe psychological assessment should evolve as our understanding of human behavior and culture does.
— Dr. Robert Basham, Founder

We’re not just digitizing old tests—we’re rethinking what clinical assessment should look like in the 21st century. Our tools are dynamic, inclusive, and built for a future where mental health care is both data-informed and human-centered.
